We dodged a bullet

Jeff is a structural engineer. That means he designs buildings. Architects make them pretty and he makes them safe.

Well as you can imagine, building things isn't exactly happening too much right now, and his company doesn't have any upcoming work on the horizon.

This past week all the other engineers and office staff were laid off. 

Jeff is the last one standing. 

Now we are still getting on our feet from our AZ house fiasco. We used up savings, credit cards and food storage to get through that financial disaster. So if Jeff gets laid off, we'd be up he creek.

we are in the process of rebuilding our savings and food storage and get out of debt but are in no means prepared to take a lay off.
